Pupils to Wear PE Kits to school

Dear Parent/Carers,

PE Kits

Last week we sent a letter explaining what day each class will be doing PE. We also asked that the children bring their PE kits in to school on the day they have PE so they can get changed in school, and then take their kits home to be washed on the same day.

However, we have decided to change this policy from Wednesday 9th September 2020. Instead, we ask that you send your children to school already changed in their PE clothes on their allocated PE day (see table below):

Year group

PE day

Reception (Ducklings)

Children will not need their PE Kit to start with.

Y1 (Owls)

Y2 (Hedgehogs)

Y3 (Dragonflies)

Y4 (Foxes)

Y5 (Badgers)

Y6 (Swans)

The reason for the change is so we can maximise as much learning time as possible as well as limit the amount of items children are needing to bring into school. To confirm: There is no need for your child to wear school uniform on their PE day.

As all PE sessions will take place outside we ask that you send your child to school prepared for the cold elements. Their kit should include:

  • T-shirt
  • Tracksuit bottoms/joggers/leggings
  • Jumper/jacket
  • Trainers

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.

Yours sincerely

Mr N. Probert
