Thank You – Non uniform day
Dear Parents/Carers,
As you will be aware, this week we have had a visit from OFSTED to check the standards of the school and hold Leaders to account for the different areas of the new Inspection Framework. The inspectors have looked at the following different areas:
- Safeguarding
- Inclusion
- Curriculum and Teaching
- Achievement
- Attendance and Behaviour
- Personal development and Wellbeing
- Early Years
- Leadership and Governance
Although I cannot share what the gradings for each section are until the report has been published, I am pleased to say that as a school, we are happy with the inspection and pleased with the conclusions the inspectors have come to.
Throughout the visit, the children’s behaviour and manners towards the visitors were impeccable and I could not be prouder of them. Therefore, as a result of this, all children are invited to come to school in non-uniform. I am aware that some of our children would like to wear their Aston Villa kits/tops following their most recent success in winning the Europa League so for those fans and those children that wish to, please feel free to do so.
The weather is forecast to be nice tomorrow so can I please remind parents and carers to provide their child with appropriate hats.
Finally, I know many of you were looking forward to the Sports Days that we had planned for this week. Unfortunately, they were postponed because of the visits but have been rescheduled for the following dates:
- Monday 6th July 2026 – 9:15am (Y3/Y4/Y5/Y6)
- Thursday 9th July 2026 – 9:15am (Nur/Rec/Y1/Y2)
Apologies for the inconvenience the postponements may have caused and I hope you are still able to join us on the rearranged dates.
Yours sincerely
Mr N. Probert
(Headteacher)
